　ニール・ドグラース・タイソンがホストを務める「コスモス：時空と宇宙」のサウンドトラック盤です。1980年代のカール・セーガン版ではヴァンゲリスをはじめとする、古今東西の音楽が使われ、まさに「コスモス」でしたが、今回はアラン・シルヴェストリが全編音楽をつけています。セーガン原作の『コンタクト』もアランの作曲でしたから、彼に白羽の矢が立ったのも当然だったのでしょう。2017年にようやくCDでのリリースとなりました（ダウンロードに比べ、各ディスクにボーナストラックも追加されています）。ただし、扱いはアメリカのAmazon、もしくはアラン・シルヴェストリのサイトから。

　個人的にはテレビシリーズの『刑事スタスキー＆ハッチ』や『白バイ野郎ジョン＆パンチ』などが懐かしいところですが、80年代以降はハリウッドに進出して、大作を手掛けるようになりました。彼の携わった映画で、私が見た映画は以下の通り
